Sheena Pegarido, a 21-year-old communications major, spends her days in class at the University of North Florida, in Jacksonville, Fla. Between school, her part-time job and her extracurricular activities she says she doesn't even have time to even think about dating.

“It's hard because relationships require a lot of time and attention,” Sheena said. “But I heard the best place to meet someone is in the campus library.”

She is not the only student who feels this way about dating. Many college students find it hard to juggle their social life with school and work. Being in school makes their time short and money tight. Not only is it hard to find the time to date while in college, but it's a challenge just getting up the courage to ask your crush those five small words: “Want to go out sometime?” For some the process of asking for the date is uncomfortable and nerve-racking. However, dating may not be as hard as it seems after following a few tricks from the experts. There are several tips ranging from eye contact to compliments that may be successful with helping you find a date.

Robson Mitchell, 19, a freshman at Jacksonville University, also finds it hard to have a social life while in school and on the football team. He says when he gets a chance to date he asks girls he doesn't already know because then he will not have to face them again if he is rejected.

Robson said he likes to take his dates to the movies because they are natural conversation starters. “I meet girls by making eye contact and small talk, so you can't go wrong with the movies,” Robson said.

According to Fran Greene the Dating Coach and Director of Flirting and Dating at Match.com, there are several ways to break the ice. “Your goal is to make the person feel comfortable,” Greene said. She has spoken to many New York colleges and universities about the art of flirting and dating, including Columbia University, State University of New York at Stony Brook and Queens College.

Greene said the biggest barrier for college students is feeling that they don't measure up. College-age people are often too picky and not sure what they really want. Students put too much pressure on themselves, Greene said. “They need to be engaged by age 22. They believe they should graduate and then meet prince charming. It's a let down when you're still single after graduation,” Greene said.

Amy Jackson, a 20-year-old public relations major at UNF, says she met her boyfriend at a party, but they broke up eight months ago. Since then, she said dating is definitely hard to do.

According to the coach, dating is something you have to make happen. In order to make dating happen, you should do the things you like to do, therefore surrounding yourself with like-minded people. The dating coach has some other guidelines for those wanting to spice up their dating life.

1. Start a conversation. The best opening line is just saying hello. Talk about the weather, your surroundings, ask a question or state an opinion. For Jackson, starting conversation has been successful, however, there have been times when she has had to reject some bad pick-up lines. “This one guy told me that I looked like his friend's ex-girlfriend that died and would I mind dancing with him. That was pretty bad,” Amy said. “Normal conversation always works with me. Hello or hi is just fine.”

2. Use Props. Never leave home without a prop. Props are natural conversation starters. They encourage conversation and compel others to talk to you. Great props to use include: dogs, children, interesting jewelry, a fabulous perfume or cologne, an unusual tie or T-shirt, hats or a good book. “One time a guy told me my purse reminded him of a beautiful, sparkly mermaid,” Amy said. “That was kind of weird but it worked.”

3. Make the First Move. Move closer to the person you want to meet. Go over and say hello. “If I meet a guy at school I say something like, 'What's your major?' or, 'Where are you from?' I have also asked guys if they wanted to hang out sometimes,” Amy said.

4. Listen. You have two ears and one mouth for a reason; you should listen twice as much as you speak. Listening is a true art. Your crush will be drawn to you. Everyone loves to be listened to. “When guys are talking about sports I could care less, but I listen to them anyway sometimes,” Amy said.

5. Eye Contact. Make eye contact. Look at your potential date gently in the eyes for no more than two to four seconds, then glance away, staring is a turn-off. “Sometimes when a guy is staring I think he's interested, but they might just think they know me from somewhere so I don't think anything of it,” Amy said.

6. Compliment. Compliment your crush. The best compliments have the element of surprise. Let him or her know you really notice them. Remember, your compliments must be honest, sincere and genuine. “Guys always compliment me on my purses a lot, because I carry a lot of different ones,” Amy said.

7. Smile. Smiling is contagious, it will make you so much more approachable. A smile lightens up your face and draws people to you. You'll be a guy magnet. Try it. “If a guy is smiling they seem friendly and approachable, it's more inviting,” Amy said.

8. Be the Host. Don't be the passive person in waiting, be the welcome committee. Change your behavior from the role of guest, to host. The dating coach says you should be yourself right off. Have self confidence as you begin to break the ice.

9. Have Fun. Be playful, light-hearted and spontaneous. Show your vulnerability. “I just talk to them and smile a lot,” Amy said. ” I act really interested.”

10. Be Confident. A good date is self-confident and not afraid to take a risk. Be enthusiastic and positive. It works. The expert says it is imperative to look people in the eye, smile and be sure of yourself.

Dating isn't easy. The rules are undefined and too complicated to follow. Who pays? Where do you go? How many dates until the first kiss? Should you invite them in?

When dating you should be yourself right from the start. If money is an issue, get creative. Go for a walk, have a study date, go stargazing, go to local concerts or sports games, go to the beach, the park, jogging, rent movies or look in the paper for local events that are happening.

The coach says expenses can also be shared on a date. Most college students are usually low on funds, so it is not a bad idea to split the costs.

Robson admits that he has split expenses on a date before but did not feel good about it. “I feel funny if I don't pay,” Robson said.

Greene advises guys to pay for the first date, but beyond that it should not matter. “Don't be embarrassed to get discounts or share expenses,” Greene said. “These things should not matter until the ages of 25 to 30 when men should be established and done paying back college loans.”

Though dating isn't going to be easy the end result is well worth it and the by-product is finding your soul mate.

However once I came back, I heard a strange clicking sound from the computer as well as the monitor was dark. I assumed I didn't switch it on the right way, and so I attempted turning it on once again, but the same thing happened! I couldn't attempt to repair it or anything at all since I'd to leave the home although, so I left.

Hello everyone and welcome to my blog website. I'm delighted to start this journey with this blog. In the distant past, I've had blogs that I used to write down my views about the the world, technology, science and anything interesting happening in my life. But I gave those up soon after.

Now, I'm hoping to have a better chance on blogging with more life experiences and hopefully more interesting things to share. I hope to one day maybe have to own a domain of my own, and have my website become known one day.

Travelling has been an important part of my life for around 2 decades now. I've spent time in literally every part of the earth, Asia, Europe, America, and so on. I look at myself as a seasoned traveller, and I have had many experiences around the globe. Whenever I travel, I carry my computer with me, as I consider it indispensable, especially with writing notes on the go. I like to take out my laptop, open it up with a nice hot cup of tea, and then just read the latest happenings from around the world, or start writing down my thoughts as I sip on some nice, tea.

Another thing that troubles me regulary is politics. Normally, international policy discussions that happen at government levels seem far away, but they have servy strong effects on our lives. I hope to cove some of this in my blogging as well. On a lighter note, I'm very much into gadgets and I like to read, so I hope to have several blog posts about those topics also. I'm reading a book about business currently, and I usually read a new book every few weeks. I find the change in perspective engaging and fresh, and I like how you can get new ideas from reading books.

I hope you'll find my blog an engaging read, and I look forward to continue this journey with all of you.
